Street #6

Sweat To Street #6

Before we get into some fashion, I want to take a second and recognize that today is in fact Easter.  Being a Catholic, today is the most important day in the Church’s liturgical year.  I am so grateful that I have a God that loves me so much that He would give us His only son.  Jesus died so that we may live.  What greater gift is there than that?  Wishing you a very Happy Easter … remember that it’s more than painted eggs and chocolate bunnies.

I also just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for your amazing comments on my 6-month post-baby body update.  Your words seriously mean so much to me.  :)

Since our movers come tomorrow (holy cow) we are spending today getting ready.  The Army actually pays the movers to pack everything for us but we still have to do some of the work.  There are a few items the movers won’t take (like candles) so I have to get those wrapped up and packed.  I also have to get 2 weeks worth of clothes together for the whole family.  PCSing … fun times I tell you!  But, since it IS Sunday, it is time for another Sweat to Street fashion post!

Sweat to Street has been created as a place to link up your favorite outfits of the week as a new Sunday blog feature. The idea is to have some fun and change it up!Each week we encourage you to post one workout outfit and one outfit you wore that isn’t fitness related.

SWEAT

TOP: Lululemon Cool Racerback

SHORTS: Nike Two-In-One Tempo Rack Shorts

SPORTS BRA: Nike Compression

SHOES: Brooks Adrenalines

These are one of my favorite pair of shorts to wear while running.  The built in compression shorts help minimize any chaffing and provide good coverage when I am lifting weights or doing ab work!

STREET

CARDIGAN: LOFT (similar)

TANK: J. CREW Perfect Fit Tank

INFINITY SCARF: LOFT (similar)

JEANS: Joe’s Jeans – Rocker

SHOES: Jessica Simpson

Casual outfit to wear to breakfast with Chris and my sorority sister Ashley.  These are the pre-pregnancy jeans I mentioned yesterday!  Unfortunately it appears that Joe’s no longer makes this cut and I am slightly devastated.  I have a REALLY hard time finding jeans that are long enough for me but also fit in the waist.  These ones were perfect.  Pricey … for sure.  But I bought them 4 years ago so they definitely have had a great life :)

EMMIE’S EASTER FASHION

DRESS: Baby GAP

When Chris’ mom was in town the other weekend she spoiled Em with a ton of clothes for summer and this adorable Easter dress.  My little bunny is going to look so cute at church today :)

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far!  Chaos is about to ensue over here … wish us luck!

Do you celebrate Easter?  What’s your favorite “go to” brand for workout clothes?

  1. Cute outfits! Emmie’s dress is PRECIOUS!! That will be a sad day when she out grows that one! I think I would dress her in it everyday until that happens! ha!

    1. I wish we did Kymberly! We actually have no family here … grandma was in town visiting :)

    1. I do have a pair of Miss Me … I like them but I LOVE my Joe’s 😉

  2. Love the scarf, and your 6 month progress was incredible! My husband is in the military also- Army NG-we haven’t had the joy of having to PCS but I can imagine its a crazy time-best of luck to you in your move!

    1. We’ve only done DITY moves up until this point … but we outgrew the moving truck on the last one! When we moved from TX to MO I was 36 weeks pregnant doing a full DITY … we are doing a partial DITY this time! And I highly recommend infinity scarves. I have a few and LOVE them!

  3. That is amazing. I’m always astonished when I see my friends (who are runners) dressed in regular clothes or work attire. I see them constantly in dri-fit gear and sweaty. A suit and tie or a dress blows my mind. Great outfits, both of them.
