Oh hello there middle of the week … fancy seeing you already. Happy Wednesday! You guys …. my legs are SO SORE from my workout at D1 Sports Training on Monday. Yesterday morning I felt great. Then I went for a run and realized that my calves, hamstrings, and gluteus were all sore. As the day progressed it got worse. And today is awful. Time for a date with my foam roller
Since it’s Wednesday, it means it’s time for another “What I Ate Wednesday” with the lovely Jenn of Peas and Crayons! I did a MUCH better job photographing some snacks. These are my eats from yesterday and I got everything except lunch … oops. One of these weeks I will remember everything and not feel like a tool haha.
BREAKFAST
1 egg+ egg whites scrambled with spinach and nutritional yeast, shared with Emmie. I also had a piece of nitrite free bacon, a Vans power protein waffle with PB, and half a grapefruit. Seriously delicious.
WORK-OUT
I did a treadmill workout from Julie and loved it. I did the gradual increase in speed workout. It was a good mix of incline walking and running. The inclines are what told me that my legs were killed from the day before. I toughed through it and I am glad I did! I followed this up with 20 minutes of weights following Tamara’s upper body boot camp.
WORK-OUT #2
I met my new friend Alex at J.F. Gregory park to take our kids walking. We did 3 miles in 54 minutes bringing my total miles for the day to 6.7. After walking we hit up the farmer’s market for our weekly produce.
DINNER
I had book club with Victoria last night to talk about books 2 and 3 of The Fifty Shades of Grey series. LOVE those books. Literary genius? No. Seriously entertaining? Yes. (On that note … mom and friends, I don’t want to know if you read them). Our amazing hostess Jessica put together this amazing spread. Chicken in mushroom and cream sauce, roasted potatoes, salad, croissants stuffed with cream cheese, chives, and bacon, and a chocolate chip cookie cheesecake dessert. YUM.
I seriously think I will be stretching out my legs for the rest of the morning today. Haha. The workout #proof is in the DOMS right? :) Have a happy day!
Have you read Fifty Shades of Grey? I have to admit … it made me pretty uncomfortable at times.

Sounds like a great day of eats. I’ve never had a Vans power protein waffle, but I’ve heard great things. Which flavor do you recommend?

I honestly just eat the plain
I don’t want to read that book! Just have 0 interest. My sister is reading it…even one of my guy friends! They are all more uhh..promiscuous than me. So maybe that’s why they like it? Not to say people who enjoy it are promiscuous! Just doesn’t seem like my thing.
Nice eats, love that PB waffle

I have read all three, and while I loved the story (the actual story, lol), I found myself flipping through the sex pretty often. It got…exhausting. LOL It was great in the beginning, but man…enough already! Hehe.

I love La Croix water! Especially the pomegranite one!
Though I’m a crazy book junkie, I decided against reading Fifty Shades of Grey because I heard it was pretty explicit, and thats just not my thing.

Looks like a very yummy & nutritious day! I have not yet read Fifty Shades of Grey. I had been thinking about buying it for my upcoming beach vacation but more and more lately I’ve been hearing people who reacted the same way you did! I’m definitely more of a Nicholas Sparks girls so maybe I should pass… haha Have a GREAT Wednesday

Sorry about the leg pain, although at least you know muscles are at work! I just started running and I’ve definitely been loving my compression socks and Epsom Salt baths. I did pick up 50 Shades, but I haven’t had much time to read it. I really got it just to see what all the buzz was about. I hope your legs feel better today!
This week is going by so fast. I’m loving it though!
And all your food looks so refreshing and delicious. I love summer eats. Light, healthy, delicious.
I love grapefruit. We get a box of fresh fruits and veggies, not a CSA but similar, every other week and when we get grapefruit I eat them all before my husband can even attempt one.

I want in on this bookclub you and Victoria have both mentioned. HAHA!!! I’m currently reading 50 Shades of Grey so I’m a little behind the trend.
Is that picture of the trail at J.F. Gregory Park? I am SO in for a walk or run there!

Wow, that dinner spread sounds amazing. Haven’t read the book, though. Love La Croix- I’m actually drinking the same one right now!
Seriously LOVE La Croix … I have 3 flavors in the fridge haha
I just finished 50 Shades this morning. I have mixed feelings and I’m not sure if I will continue with the series. It didn’t really leave me wondering what happens next.
Book club dinner sounds amazing! I’m in the middle of book 1 right now and It’s okay, the style of writing is definitely not the greatest, but it’s entertaining to say the least.
TOTALLY agree about the writing. I just love a good love story haha.
I’ve never heard of Vans Protein Waffles before! It looks so good!

They are SO good! I found them at Kroger.
I’ve read the first book, but have to admit, I didn’t get the draw. I thought it was just okay, but I will, of course, read the last two books just to see how it finishes out.
wow that trail is absolutely beautiful.
I need to start 50 shades of grey. perhaps thats the book i’ll bring for my long flight!
