Guardian Angels

Ever since I was a little girl my mom and I have had this tradition of “assigning” guardian angels to protect, help, or heal members of our family. We would name them, visualize them flying to their destination, and picture them sitting on the shoulder of our loved ones.
Today I am naming my guardian angel “Hope”. She is going to be sitting on my dad’s shoulder has he goes into heart surgery this afternoon. In case you don’t know, I came back to Phoenix yesterday morning … 36 hours after getting home to Savannah. Emmalyne and Chris in tow with me.
I am praying harder today than I have in a long time. My dad is my hero and I am scared … but I know Hope is going to be there with him every single second of that surgery and the coming weeks of recovery. This is what family is about. Coming together in the most difficult of circumstances. My dad is surrounded by so much love and support and I know deep down that everything is going to be just fine.
Thank you for all your kind messages. They are truly appreciated. I will be having a couple of my friends guest posting on the blog over the next 10 days that I am in Arizona. I promise to pop in from time to time with some cute Emmie photos and what we are up to. I am thankful
