Weekend (Plus) Recap

It’s always bitter sweet leaving Arizona. It’s so hard leaving my family behind every time because we are so close. However, I am anxious to get home to Chris and our life in Georgia. Emmalyne and I had a fantastic week here in the Grand Canyon state and are counting down the days until we come back. I will leave you with some photos from the week.
This week was focusing on family for me. My aunt, cousin, and cousin’s three children were in town from Minnesota. I got to see my dad which after last week made a world of difference for me. One of the nights my brother-in-law offered to watch all SEVEN children so my cousin, sister, mom, aunt, and I could go to dinner. We went to Babbos Italian Eatery which is one of my favorites in Phoenix.
I also got to meet Heidi of Banana Buzzbomb! Heidi and her husband just moved out to Phoenix a month ago so I was excited to introduce them to another one of my favorite restaurants. We hit up True Food Kitchen at the Biltmore for lunch. I got their steak tacos which were as delicious as always. I love when blog friends turn into real friends! Heidi is just as she portrays herself on her blog and I am already looking forward to getting together again the next time I am in town
I also managed to squeeze in some good workouts. My mom’s gym is always really good about getting me a guest pass when I am town and I am grateful for the opportunity to sweat it out while on vacation. The 6 mile run was done consecutively … the machine had a 25 minute cut-off limit and there were empty treadmills so I kept going. I also knocked out some workouts for Best Body Bootcamp Phase 3. LOVE.
