WIAW

Happy Wednesday friends!  I am super excited to be half-way through the week.  My mother-in-law comes tomorrow and I am stoked for Emmalyne to get some quality grandma time in!  I want to take a minute and give a HUGE shout-out to my #Elf4Health Paula!  Today is her birthday.  Head to her blog and send her some love :)  Since it’s Wednesday, it’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday with the lovely Jenn of Peas and Crayons :)


BREAKFAST

Yup.  A typical breakfast for me.  Some eggs scrambled with spinach, fruit, a Rudi’s whole-wheat English muffin half, and a lonely slice of bacon.  A hot cup of Dunkin Donuts pumpkin spice coffee on the side.

 

LUNCH

I made another favorite.  A buffalo chicken salad.  I used Applegate chicken nuggets for the chicken and shared them with Emmalyne.  Tasty.

 

SNACKS

Em and I ran to the grocery store after the gym and I bought and ate a Larabar there.  This is the same kind but photographed at home because I couldn’t wait.  A honeycrisp apple in the afternoon.  Tons of water.

 

DINNER

Umm … confession.  Around 5PM I started feeling terrible.  I was sick to my stomach.  The only thing I want when I don’t feel well is McDonalds fries.  So I did.  #DontJudge

 

To make up for the lapse in judgement (but my belly was happy) … a cute picture of Emmie exploring our tree:

Emmie is still doing really well with our tree.  She only tried to run away with an ornament once 😉

  1. Never judge!! I am the same way. Sometimes fast food fries are the only thing that my body seems to want…so why not give it that?
    Random thoughts:
    – Love your dinnerware pattern
    – Em is adorable
    – Our Christmas tree had ornaments on the bottom half only by the 2nd week it was up – AJ was too interested in pulling them down so I just moved them all up. HAHA.

  2. That’s funny that french fries make you feel better. I’m not sure I have a “sick” comfort food. If I had to I’d say toast with some kind of nut butter and tea. Love the pic of Emmie with the tree! We’re setting ours up tonight and I’m very interested to see how my 18 month old reacts to this new addition to our home!

  3. That’s funny, when I get a migraine (which is quite often) I eat salty food, which can include but is not limited to McDonalds french fries with a sugary Coke on the side. There is no science to back it but, this along with my meds and three Advil provides some relief; so glad it wasn’t Twinkies that gave me relief. Enjoy your time with you MIL, from one military wife to another, I know how special and meaningful family visits are.

  4. – If you happen to be going on the place where you haven’t been before
    then don. When it can be good, it’s fabulous as well as a whole lobster costs perhaps.
    Again, the inner or your accommodation isn’t very appealing.
