Scenes From The Weekend

Chris is off today so I am just checking in briefly with some scenes from our weekend. We were up past our bedtime last night to watch the Super Bowl. Since the Packers weren’t in the mix, we were rooting for the 49ers. Unfortunately they lost and I have 3 #milseofshame to run this week. Bummer. Other than that, here’s a little preview of our weekend:
Saturday grocery shopping
Chris borrowed Mike’s power washer and sprayed the deck. Pretty sure the owners of this house have never done it. Holy cow the difference.
Baked chicken tacos for the win. Recipe coming and it’s worth the wait.
Nice, slow 10-mile training run with a friend. Only 2 more to go before Augusta!
Taking some “me time” and reading. Finished “The American Heiress” for book club this month! I definitely recommend it.
Chris tore down the play structure in the backyard (we had permission). Emmie figured out how to climb up there and the wood was rotting making it a hazard. We plan on getting her a swing set this summer.

I really didn’t care about the superbowl at all this year, but we went to a friends house and all the kids played so that was fun. It was more of a pre-superbowl party. haha

I honestly don’t know if I am shooting for a time or not. The hill is freaking me out. Maybe we should just run for fun and chat the whole time? HA.
I had my baby shower this weekend, so I had a successful weekend as well. I wayyy overate, so the workouts need to be stepped up this week!!

We are Bills fans because we like to punish ourselves and be depressed every Sunday so we just watched the game for fun, ate some tasty food and watched the commercials and Beyonce!
