Happy Monday folks! If you’re catching up from the weekend you can check out my 5 simple tips to live healthy and my week in workouts. We had a crazy busy weekend over here!
SATURDAY
Saturday morning I headed to my weekly yoga class at Awakening Yoga Studio with my friend Leslie Ann. It was a hip-focused class which was a great way to prep for my long day Sunday. After yoga I met Chris and Em at the gym for a little bit on the elliptical and abs. The rest of the day was family time …. a walk with the dogs and the wagon and a trip to the park!
SUNDAY
Sunday morning I met my friends at JF Gregory for an 11 mile run. I kept my pace slow and steady (sticking with McMillan Running) to see how I felt. My last two long runs have been less than stellar. However, I felt great! I noticed that this morning I remembered to drink my coffee unlike the last two weeks. This is also the first time I have gone over 10 miles in half marathon training so we will see how that turns out. We averaged 10:12/mile and finished at a 9:40 pace. I could have easily kept the 9′s for 2 more miles. Bazinga!
I got home and put Em down for an early nap. During her nap I: made breakfast burritos, boiled eggs, put together “smoothies in a bag”, cleaned the bathrooms, and showered. BOOM. As soon as Em woke up, we loaded up the car to head downtown to meet Victoria at the Savannah Children’s Museum. Yesterday was “Super Museum Sunday” where all the museums in Savannah were free for the day. Apparently everybody and their mom decided to go to the children’s museum as they were at full capacity and we were issued a time to enter. Once we got in Em had a blast!
We played hard for an hour. Em loved the giant shapes, chalk, slide, musical instruments, more blocks, balls, and so much more. She was exhausted by the end! Note: The Savannah Children’s Museum is located in the same complex as the railroad museum. It is all outdoors so make sure it’s a nice day out before visiting! I definitely recommend checking it out though if you are in the area
We tried to grab some food with Victoria but Em wasn’t having it. Homegirl was wiped out. So we said our good-byes and headed home for baked tacos and play time in her room. Overall this was a very family focused weekend and I loved it. It definitely felt good getting Emmie out in the beautiful weather and in stimulating environments

I swear these kids are getting too big too fast! She’s adorable! We love going to the Magic House with E. He loves everything about it. Exploring is his favorite activity!
Glad you had a good weekend!
Seriously. Make it stop.
Can I just say how jealous I am that you guys have such great weather! I took my little guy to the Long Island children’s Museum in the fall and he loved it! We went on a rainy day so we weren’t able to play on the outdoor parts, but it was a blast either way. Looks like you have a great weekend!

Oh em gee love Emmie’s outfit and bow. I remember going to those children’s museums, they are SUCH a blast. That pic of her pushing the cart that you put on IG was too cute. I LOLed when Victoria called me out on my Emmie fandom. I WILL PLAY WITH HER ONE DAY. Even if she’s like…13. Haha.
The time has changed right now. Achievement begins with an optimistic attitude in life.
The important thing though is that you get access to the funds you badly need.
