Good morning friends! I am getting a bit of a late start this morning. Chris and I were OUT last night and got to bed later than usual (IE: after 9PM). Last week was kind of a rough week over here with the whole family becoming sick. Em started it all last Monday with pink eye and signs of a respiratory infection. Since pink eye comes with a cough/runny nose a lot of time the doctor didm’t think anything of it. Turns out it was probably RSV since Bryn came down with it on Thursday. Come Saturday morning Chris too had pink eye. Fun times and we made 3 trips to doctors in 5 days. HA.
Luckily we had a pretty awesome weekend over here. It started off great with a 4 mile run on the golf course. I know I have mentioned before how much I love our new house but I love our neighbors even more. My best friend here in Georgia lives across the street from me and another awesome lady lives around the corner. Both Heather and L are training for half marathons this month so I jumped in for part of their long run. It was quite chilly for Savannah so we layered up and hit the golf course. I planned on doing 5 miles but Chris had to head to urgent care to get meds for his eyes so I cut my run to 4 miles.
The rest of the day Chris and I cleaned the house top to bottom which left my heart happy and full. I am seriously Type-A and truth be told the house got away from us. Nothing better than a totally clean home The day ended with a trip to Sam’s Club, a Chik-Fil-A sandwich, and picking up Chris’ mom from the airport! Yon got in too late Saturday night to see the girls but came bearing gifts for the Emster. This is Emmie in all her Minnie Mouse glory come Sunday morning.
Seriously … I die. Em is SO much like me in this regard it’s not even funny. I was just like this at her age and it makes me smile. With Grandma in town we have an extra set of hands and a little more time for ourselves. I snuck in a power yoga class and came home feeling awesome. Apparently Chris is awesome too because he finished the giant chalkboard project for my kitchen and left me a note
I love that man Sunday continued to be great with fun times with the girls, my standing nail appointment with Heather, and ended with a date night in Savannah with Chris and about half of my new family… my PA class cohort!
Today is officially my last day being a full-time stay-at-home mom. Tomorrow my title returns to STUDENT. AHH!!!!! Until then
