Getting Back on Track

Happy Monday friends!  Did you miss me?  I sure missed you guys.  Last week was CRAZY and this girl couldn’t do it all so something had to give.  Blogging was the something that had to be put on the back burner so I could just survive the week.  I am happy to say I DID indeed survive my worst week of this quarter!  WOO!  I have some confessions to make though.  With life being nuts last week several other things when out the window too.  Most notably?  Healthy eating and fitting in my workouts.

 

I know we have all been there and some of us may still be there.  I spent this weekend getting myself back on track and preparing to make this next week a 100x better than last.  This weekend was spent …

 

River Street Savannah

 

Taking my mom and aunt down to River Street.  Chris is out of town for work so my mom and aunt came into town to fill in the void and help me out.  Saturday night we headed downtown for dinner on River Street and Savannah.  We went to Fiddler’s Crab House and enjoyed some beautiful weather.

Fitting in a run.  I know I still owe you guys a race recap from my 10K last weekend but yesterday was the first time I had run all week.  I did an easy 3 miles with my friend on the golf course.  We finished up with 1 mile walk just catching up since we hadn’t had a chance during the week.

Getting AHEAD in school.  I have another test this morning (!!) but I don’t have any others this week.  This means that I actually have time to stay ahead of my classes.  I almost don’t know what to do with myself with all this extra time 😉

 

Other ways that I got back on track was by creating our meal plan for the week and also planning my workouts.  Here’s what I have going for us:

 

Monday: Roasted chicken and veggies

Tuesday: Crockpot chicken taco chili

Wednesday: Slow cooker pot roast

Thursday: Grilled steaks and potatoes

Friday: Grilled pizza

 

For workouts I am sticking with running and some Nike Training Club workouts since I can do them at the house. Hoping to get them all in this week!

  1. Congrats on getting that week over with! It must be such a relief. I have been doing the T25 workout at home and it’s been wonderful. I can fit it in while Aiden is playing so I don’t have to do it during naptime even!
