Happy Monday friends! I hope your weekend was fabulous. Ours was pretty sweet because Chris and I got to celebrate SEVEN years of marriage! Without getting too sappy I am SO thankful to have him as my partner in this crazy life. We have crammed SO MUCH LIFE into the last 7 years and I couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else.
Saturday we hired a babysitter so we could spend some quality time together up at the Lake of the Ozarks. We headed up mid-morning to do some shopping and grab some lunch. Our first stop was the outlet mall where I scored some cute things for summer that I can’t wait to share with you all. We also went to Target which made my heart SO happy since it’s the closest one to us and is still almost an hour away. Before heading back to the girls we stopped for lunch at Baxter’s an were not disappointed. I mean HELLO … check out the view.
We both started off with a nice cold beer which was perfect for the warm day and the breeze off the lake. For starters we had the spinach and artichoke dip and it was pretty good. My main course was a chicken BLT that was just ok.
It was just nice spending time together enjoying a summer day. When we got home we packed the girls up into the car and headed straight for post to hit the park. I wish you guys could see Bryn at parks because she is bound and determined to give me a heart attack. I love her sense of adventure but I foresee many ER visits for us ha.
Sunday was our actual anniversary and Chris had my presents on the kitchen table. He was pretty thoughtful this year and got me an Arizona scarf for football season, new sandals, prosecco, and a gift card. My favorite thing though is the “card” he had pulled up on my iPad.
The rest of the day was spent getting chores done around the house. Chris tackled the yard and I tackled a workout before we did laundry and food prep. We did however go soak up some sun at the local pool with the girls. They are serious water babies which tells me they are Arizona girls at heart.
Here’s to another great week! I am starting to get my groove as a provider and am feeling a teensy bit less overwhelmed at my job. I am learning more stuff everyday and hopefully am making a positive impact on my patients too. Hope your day is great!
